Chassis
The frequency converter meets the requirements of IP20/rack case. Optional IP21/NEMA1, IP55/NEMA12, IP54/NEMA12 or IP66NEMA4x.
Smart Logic Controller
The standard intelligent logic controller of the VLT®AutomationDrive can execute up to 20 different steps through a logic operation loop.

The VLTAutomationDrive comes standard with a Safe Stop function (suitable for Category 3 installations to EN954-1). This function prevents the drive from starting unexpectedly.
Hot-plug LCP
The Local Control Panel (LCP) is pluggable while it is running. Via the control panel, settings can be easily transferred from one drive (or from a PC with setup software) to another.
Intelligent thermal management
There are currently three cooling methods, each with their own advantages. Forced Convection Cooling: Fans blow cool air over aluminum heat sinks to remove heat. At this point, the cooling channels can be easily cleaned without touching the electronic components. Cooling Plate Cooling: External cooling is possible via the aluminum shell on the back. Duct Cooling: Cool air from the control room or outside cools the heat sink without touching the electronics.
